How You Will Contribute/Position Summary

The VP of Operations Finance “VPOF” oversees the financial operations of Odyssey’s operating facilities. The VPOF is the primary liaison between facility financial leadership and Odyssey’s COO and is tasked with providing revenue cycle support as well as actionable revenue and expense insights to facility and corporate leadership. Position will also be responsible for developing and implementing agreed-upon initiatives. Duties include revenue cycle oversight, process and system improvements, KPI reporting, KPI driving initiatives, and creation of and/or adherence to policies, procedures and internal controls.    

Essential Responsibilities

  1. Provides leadership and oversight for facility and network level financial leaders to ensure:
    1. Timely and accurate month-end close and reporting processes including the oversight of revenue cycle processes.
    2. Operational cadence driving activities aligned with KPIs and budget.
    3. Expense management initiatives and process improvement execution.
    4. Capital requests and capital budgeting execution.
    5. Annual operational budget compilation.
  2. Onsite presence in facilities to build relationships and identify people and process improvement opportunities.
  3. Provide monthly analysis and opportunities through income statement review and budget vs. actual analysis.
  4. Cross department collaboration to align department and organizational priorities and drive facility performance. 
  5. Cross departmental KPI reporting, KPI analysis and KPI initiative development and execution.
  6. Present financials, KPIs and operational insights to executive level audiences. 
  7. Assist with growth initiatives as needed.  

Additional Responsibilities

  1. Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.
  2. Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.

Qualifications

What We Are Seeking/Education and Experience:

Position requires a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business or Finance and a minimum of 10 years of financial operations related experience.
