Senior Staffing Sales Director

Position Summary:       

Cordia Resources, a premier financial staffing and recruiting firm and a proud part of the Cherry Bekaert platform, is seeking a seasoned and self-directed Business Development Professional. This role is responsible for generating new client relationships and expanding Cordia’s presence within Cherry Bekaert’s vast network of client-facing professionals.

The ideal candidate will bring deep staffing industry experience—especially in finance, accounting, HR, or IT—and a strong personal playbook for generating business in both the project staffing and permanent placement spaces. This role is focused equally on new business development, strategic internal collaboration, and cross-selling complementary services, including select HR and IT staffing as well as other solutions across the broader Cherry Bekaert platform.

Key Responsibilities:

• Generate new business in project staffing and permanent placement for mid-to-senior-level finance and accounting roles
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with client-facing professionals at Cherry Bekaert to uncover cross-selling opportunities
• Identify and sell select HR and IT staffing roles that align with Cordia’s boutique delivery capabilities
• Spot opportunities to introduce Cherry Bekaert’s broader services (e.g., tax, advisory, digital transformation) into shared client environments
• Represent Cordia at industry events, conferences, and firm-sponsored gatherings to expand market presence and brand visibility
• Collaborate closely with delivery teams to ensure successful fulfillment of client needs
• Manage and negotiate client agreements with support from Cordia operations
• Maintain accurate pipeline tracking and revenue forecasting, with a long-term relationship-building approach rather than KPI micromanagement

What Success Looks Like:

At 6 Months:

• Active engagement with Cherry Bekaert partners and development of initial referral relationships
• Acquisition of 3-5 new clients
• Contribution to early-stage project staffing or perm placement opportunities

At 12 Months:

• Consistent inflow of job requisitions from both new clients and Cherry Bekaert relationships
• Meaningful revenue contribution from both perm and temp engagements
• Strong brand reputation with clients, internal teams, and Cherry Bekaert partners

Compensation:

• Competitive base salary with a healthy draw structure
• Commission at 50% of gross profit on all placements
• No caps, no accelerators—pure performance-driven earnings

Ideal Candidate Persona:

• Experienced Staffing Pro: 8–12+ years of BD or full-desk recruiting in professional services (F&A preferred); portable network a plus
• Entrepreneurial Operator: Has a playbook that works, thrives with independence, and doesn’t need rigid KPIs to perform
• Relationship Builder: Long-game mindset. Deep listener, connector, and presence-builder across client and internal teams
• Creative Seller: Comfortable selling consultative solutions, mixing perm/project offerings, and adapting to evolving client needs
• Strategic Collaborator: Can engage with partners inside Cherry Bekaert to build trust and influence, not just ask for leads
• Must have Bachelors Degree
